The Mad Engineer's Cookbook
Hi my name is Miles, and I have a board game problem.
My friends are rather happy I have this problem though.
Unfortunately I’ve recently realized I really wanna scale back on my board game parties. I really like having friends over for board games, but every time I invite people over it seems like more want to come.
I greatly enjoy just chilling with 4 to 5 friends and having a good night of games. However, I’ve realized that once it gets above that number, I go from goofy hangout mode, to party host mode. I think I do a pretty good job at party host, but given that I’m an introvert it wears on me and lowers my enjoyment, as well as making me unable to concentrate on competing quite as well. Which is problematic considering these parties are getting to the 10 to 15 people range.
I need to figure out how to politely stop inviting people. :/
